A Beautiful Wedding at Hilton Hotel Cobham
Claire and Yucel’s wedding was held at the Hilton Hotel, Cobham. This turned out to be the perfect venue for such a beautiful and emotionally charged day. The ceremony took place in a large, airy room filled with a lot of natural light, a wedding photographer’s dream. What I really loved was the attention to detail the staff took over the layout. Annoying things, like red fire alarm signs, were carefully positioned out of my line of sight during the very touching ceremony. These details can make all the difference to the final images. I can’t tell you how helpful it is when editing the photographs, not having to remove them on every ceremony shot!
Personal Touches
The wedding ceremony was very special. I love it when couples take the time to write their own vows. As they read them to each other under the gaze of their friends and family, it feels magical. I could tell from the raw emotion that both Claire and Yucel had put a lot of thought into them too. As a result, the ceremony seemed even more special than many I have attended in the past. Although I have to say, they are all special in their own right.
Beautiful Grounds
As I mentioned earlier, in addition to the lovely ceremony room, the venue also has spectacular gardens and grounds. Again, just like the well-lit ceremony room, it is a real plus for any wedding photographer. It is brilliant to have a greater selection of areas for group and couple photos. I love looking for different perspectives and a variety of backdrops for my couples. This also turned out to be a godsend for Claire. Why? Because her wedding day was a hot, very sunny Saturday at the end of the summer. This can be tricky for wedding photographers to deal with. Fortunately, we found a great selection of areas around the hotel for photographs. As a result, no one was squinting in the sun or being bathed in dark black shadows.
A Memorable Day
As the day wore on and we worked our way through the wedding breakfast, speeches, cake cutting, group and couple photos, it struck me just how much fun everyone was having. Laughter filled the air, and I really had a sense that everyone was feeling relaxed and joyous. I left late into the evening, long after the first dance, the start of the evening party, and dancing; it had been a very special day.
