Beautiful Wedding at Hilton Hotel Cobham

Claire and Yucel’s wedding was held at the Hilton Hotel, Cobham. This turned out to be a great venue for such a beautiful and emotionally charged day. The ceremony was held in a large, airy room with a lot of natural light. This is always a relief to any wedding photographer. Additionally, it was carefully laid out. Annoying things, like red fire alarm signs, were carefully positioned out of my line of sight during the very touching ceremony. I can’t tell you how helpful that is when editing the photographs!

Personal Touches

I love it when couples take the time to write their own vows. As they read them to each other under the gaze of their friends and family, it feels magical. I could tell from the raw emotion that both Claire and Yucel had put a lot of thought into their vows. Consequently, the ceremony seemed even more special.

Beautiful Grounds

In addition to the lovely ceremony room, the venue also has spectacular gardens and grounds. Again, just like the well-lit ceremony room, it is a real plus for any wedding photographer. It is brilliant to have a greater selection of areas for group and couple photos. I love looking for different perspectives and a variety of backdrops for my couples. This also turned out to be a godsend for Claire. Why? Because her wedding day was a hot, very sunny Saturday at the end of the summer. This can be tricky for wedding photographers to deal with. Fortunately, we found a great selection of areas around the hotel for photographs. As a result, no one was squinting in the sun or being bathed in dark black shadows.

A Memorable Day

As the day wore on and we worked our way through the ceremony, speeches, cake cutting, group and couple photos, it struck me just how much fun everyone was having. I left late into the evening, long after the first dance, the start of the evening party, and dancing; it had been a very special day.
